Thank you for shopping with Haat India! We are dedicated to bringing the beauty of India’s artisanal heritage to your doorstep and are committed to ensuring your order is delivered safely and efficiently. This policy outlines our shipping practices and procedures for deliveries within India.

1. Order Processing Time:

  • Our standard order processing time is 1-3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in India) after your order is successfully placed and payment is confirmed.
  • Some of our unique products are sourced directly from artisans upon order confirmation or may be made-to-order. In such instances, the processing time might be slightly longer. If there is an anticipated significant delay in processing your order, we will notify you promptly via email or WhatsApp with an updated estimate.

2. Shipping Locations:

  • Domestic (India Only): Haat India currently ships to most serviceable pin codes across India. We partner with reputed courier services to ensure wide coverage. If your location is unserviceable by our standard partners, we will contact you to discuss potential alternatives or the possibility of order cancellation and refund.
  • International Shipping: At this time, Haat India does not offer international shipping. All orders must be for delivery to an address within India.

3. Shipping Methods & Carriers:

  • Haat India offers standard shipping on all orders. However, we are committed to delivering your products as quickly as possible and may choose express delivery whenever it is economically and operationally feasible.
  • We partner with a selection of reputed courier service providers (e.g., Blue Dart, Delhivery, Xpressbees, Ecom Express, India Post, etc.) to deliver your products. The choice of courier partner for your order will be at the discretion of Haat India, based on factors like serviceability, reliability, and efficiency for your location.

4. Shipping Costs:

  • Current Offer – Free Shipping: We are pleased to currently offer complimentary standard shipping on all orders delivered within India. No shipping charges will be added to your order at checkout.
    (Note: Haat India reserves the right to change this free shipping offer or introduce shipping charges in the future. Any such changes will be updated in this policy and clearly displayed at checkout before payment.)

5. Estimated Delivery Times (Domestic – India):

Once your order has been processed and dispatched from our end, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Metro Cities (e.g., Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad): Approximately 3-5 business days.
  • Other Major Cities (Tier I & Tier II): Approximately 5-7 business days.
  • Rest of India (including smaller towns, rural areas, and more remote locations such as Northeast India, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep): Approximately 7-14 business days. Some very remote locations might take longer.

Important Considerations for Delivery Times:

  • The delivery times mentioned above are estimates only and commence from the date of dispatch.
  • Actual delivery may be delayed due to various factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: weather conditions, public holidays, regional festivals, political disruptions, strikes, natural calamities, courier company operational delays, logistical challenges, or governmental restrictions (e.g., lockdowns).
  • “Business days” exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and all public holidays recognized in India or specifically in West Bengal.
  • Haat India is not liable for any delay in delivery by the courier company/postal authorities.

6. Shipment Tracking:

  • Once your order is shipped, we will send you a shipping confirmation notification via email, and/or WhatsApp (if opted-in). This notification will include your unique tracking ID and a link to the respective courier partner’s website, allowing you to monitor your shipment’s journey.
  • You may also be able to track your order status by logging into your account on our Site.

7. Shipping of Multiple Items in a Single Order:

  • If you order multiple products under a single order ID, we will make every effort to ship all items together in one consolidated package. You will not incur additional shipping charges for this.
  • In rare instances, if items are sourced from different locations or due to packaging constraints, your order might be split into multiple shipments. If this occurs, you will be informed, and tracking information will be provided for each separate package.

8. Shipping Address Accuracy:

  • It is your sole responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and valid shipping address, including the correct pin code, a landmark (if helpful), and a contact phone number for the recipient.
  • Haat India cannot be held responsible for delivery delays, misplacements, or failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided by you.
  • If an order is returned to us by the courier partner due to an incorrect/incomplete address, or if the recipient is unavailable after multiple delivery attempts, you (the customer) will be responsible for any additional re-shipment costs incurred to send the package again. Our customer service team will contact you to coordinate re-shipment in such cases.

9. Handling Delivery Issues:

  • Damaged in Transit:
    • We take great care in packaging our products to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. However, if you receive a package that appears visibly damaged from the outside, or if upon opening, you find the product inside is damaged due to transit, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving the product.
    • To report a damaged item, please initiate a return request through our website or immediately contact us via email at customer.service@haatindia.in or WhatsApp at 9147709951
    • A clear and complete unboxing video is mandatory as proof for all claims of damage during transit or receipt of incorrect/defective items. The video should clearly show the outer packaging, the shipping label, the process of opening the package, and the damaged product(s) itself. Please ensure the video is continuous, well-lit, and captures all necessary details.
    • Please refer to our “Return, Cancellation, and Refund Policy” at www.haatindia.in/returns-policy for detailed steps on returns for damaged goods.
  • Non-Delivery / Lost Shipment:
    • If your order has not been delivered within a reasonable timeframe beyond the estimated delivery period and you suspect it might be lost, please contact us promptly via email at customer.service@haatindia.in or WhatsApp at 9147709951 with your order details. We will investigate the matter with our shipping partner and update you.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts:
    • Our courier partners will typically attempt delivery two (2) times to the provided address. They may also try to contact you via phone. If the courier is unable to deliver the package after these attempts (e.g., recipient unavailable, premises closed, address not found despite correct details), the package may be returned to us (RTO – Return to Origin).
    • In such RTO cases due to failed delivery attempts, you (the customer) will be responsible for the re-delivery costs if you wish for the order to be dispatched again.
